When Lindsay and Jude asked us to be their photographers it overwhelmed us with joy and thankfulness. They are generous, kind, and people-oriented, and we love working with them. When they told us they were having a Maui wedding it was sweet homemade icing on the cake.
We had many connections with them, as we all went to UMHB. Though we didn't know them well before this past year, it was great becoming friends with them. Lindsay is best friends with one of our favorites, Jenna Hickman, who we've photographed with her family for years. They both grew up on Maui and when Jenna told Linsday about us she knew she wanted us as her photographers. From the moment Lindsay sent us that first Facebook message, we knew we'd be at their wedding. You can imagine our excitement as we boarded the plane with our gear (and swimsuits) for a week on Maui. It is as dreamy as you think like something out of a movie.
The beauty of the island, however, wasn't the only thing that caught our attention. From the get-go, we felt welcomed by Lindsay's family and friends. We felt so comfortable and at home as we had dinners, hung on beaches, had surf sessions, and enjoyed each other's company with Jude, Lindsay, and their friends. The wedding was an absolute dream in paradise. From the handcrafted details and the homemade food to the big family vibe in the midst of the warm island sunlight bouncing off all of the rich, tropical greenery. We adored both Lindsay's and Jude's families. It became evident why Lindsay and Jude are both such amazing people, as the apples didn't fall far from their spectacular trees. We can't say enough good things about this dream of a Maui wedding for this dream couple.
